This project emerged from my return to my grandmother’s home after almost ten years away. The apartment was filled with objects from my childhood and the many things she had accumulated over the years.

Nostalgia, in both its original and common meanings—longing for one’s homeland and yearning for the past—has no end, no bottom, and no sense of completion. When we dive into it, we can endlessly search for something lost, something that cannot be recovered, losing ourselves in the pursuit of unattainable fulfilment. Yet within this bittersweet feeling lies a certain warmth that deepens as we go further.

Ultimately, this project presents a dialogue between the naïve ex-voto structure and the museum form, born from an impulse to digest and rationalise past events.
